Hi I'm George

I grew up in North Pole Alaska. I'm a military child who has lived on two continents. But most importantly, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I spent a majority of my life in the middle of Alaska. I love to run. I am going to attend Utah State University. I would rather live in a cold climate than a hot one. I LOVE spicy food. Music is my form of Therapy-cheap and effective! I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I love my family!

Why I am a Mormon

As a child, I went to church because my parents did. It was just something we did. but then, when I was about 15 I decided that I needed to know if God is even real. So I got down on my knees and I asked Him. I asked God if He is there and if He cares about me. As an answer, I felt more loved than I ever have at any other point in my life. To me, that answer was satisfactory enough to carry me through the next 3 years. However, in preparation to serve God on a mission, I have asked God more than just if He is there and I have come to learn that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His Church, it has the fulness of the Gospel and is organized after the pattern that Jesus Christ himself established on the earth during His mortal ministry and that Christ loves us enough that He was willing to take upon himself the weight of the sorrows of any and all of our mistakes. God loves us and He wants each and every one of His children to return to live with Him in the next life, but we can only do that by making covenants with Him through the power of His priesthood which was restored to Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

Every morning of my four years in high school, I would wake up early to attend a 50 minute church class called seminary. While it was difficult to wake up at 5:30 or earlier every morning, it was a tremendous blessing to me. Also, I am serving God as a Missionary in Brazil for two years, postponing my entrance to college in order to fulfill His call for me to share His gospel with others.
