Hi I'm Gordon Bennett V

I am currently a missionary serving in the California, Riverside Mission. I enjoy action sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in Southern California and enjoy what I do every day. I love skateboarding, snowboarding, hiking, and camping, whatever it is, I can't get enough of it. I did a year of college before serving a two year mission for my church. My family is small, but they are all awesome and I love them a lot; they mean so much to me. I'm a little artsy as well. I make tie-dye shirts, and I even had a business where I made and sold tie-dye shirts a year before I left for my mission. I also want to get into designing skateboard decks.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I found out for myself that this gospel is true because I read and prayed about the Book of Mormon, which is how anybody can find out for themselves if this church is true. The Book of Mormon is evidence that God loves all of us so much, that he sent His only begotten son to share is gospel not just in the holy lands in the Bible, but also throughout all over the world. This gospel has really blessed my family, even through the toughest times. Plus, this church makes sense; it's set up like Jesus Christ had His gospel set up, and it follows His teachings. I know this church has a modern-day prophet, who leads and guides our Heavenly Fathers children through modern-day revelation, and that there are twelve apostles today, just like Jesus Christ had with his gospel, and that families can be together forever, and that they are part of God's plan of happiness for us.

How I live my faith

Even though I was born and raised in the church, I always never knew it to be true. One day, during my junior year of high school, I decided to crack open the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ that complements the Bible, and read it from beginning to end; this gave me a legit testimony of my own, it gave me assurance that everything that I've learned in church over the years and this gospel was true. Then, that summer I started going out with the full-time missionaries to help them teach others the gospel, sometimes even twice a week. This is what made me want to serve a full-time mission myself for two years. I am currently serving a full-time mission in Riverside, California, and I love what I do every day.
