Hi I'm Alisa

I'm a sports enthusiast. I'm a photographer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah, I have lived here all my life. I grew up attending BYU games with my family and have recently finished my freshman year at the university, with a declared major in athletic training. Sports have always been a big part of my life. I started a photography business when I was a freshman in high school. Since then I have loved to travel, or just look around my hometown, and photograph the people and places that surround me in this beautiful world; although lately I have decided to put my hobbies and education off for 18 months to serve a mission for the Lord in Baltimore, Maryland.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been an official member of the church since I was eight years old, but I have practically been a member since birth. My parents and teachers have always taught me about the Book of Mormon, Bible, the teachings of the prophets, and other important parts of the gospel. I have never doubted the truth of what I was being taught. There has always been hope for me to hold onto, and someone their to help me if ever I was going through a hard time. If I didn't have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life I know I wouldn't be nearly as happy, blessed, or surrounded by loved ones as I am with it. This life we live is not meant to be easy, but the gospel gives me hope that I will be able to conquer any trial placed in my path, and it gives me faith that Jesus Christ will help me through it. I know that this church is true, I know that the Book of Mormon is a true account of Christ's teachings and that it will bring us closer to God. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that we have a living prophet on the earth today. I love my Savior and I know that He lived and died and lives again. He loves me and every person on this earth infinitely and intimately.

How I live my faith

One way I try to live my faith is by trying to look out for others. I try to watch for people in my ward or neighborhood and try to help them in whatever way that I can. One easy way to help someone who is having a hard time is just to be kind. Smiling and asking them how they are, helping them with whatever they need, big or small. This is just one small way that I have been able to live my faith and grow closer to my Heavenly Father.
