Hi I'm Kayla

I am a college student, food lover, and music junkie. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student wanting to pursue a career in sports medicine. I have a passion for playing sports, especially softball and volleyball. I also love learning about how I can help others when they're injured. I get to have the best of both worlds by pursuing to be an athletic trainer! I also LOVE music. I love singing along to songs, learning the harmonies to a song, and making sweet music! Music brings me so much joy and allows me to step outside of the stresses in my life and be care free. I love my family. My ancestry, their native homes, and customs drive me to want to travel all over the world. I want to go throughout the world to experience what others lives are like, eat their food, and live a day in their shoes. If money were no object, I'd be traveling the globe.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I received countless confirmations that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the church established by Jesus Christ himself. I was raised in a Mormon family, yet I had to receive my own testimony for myself, like everyone has to. As most young teenagers do, I was discovering who I was and what I wanted to do with my life. I knew from a young age that the church was true, but a part of me wasn't satisfied of going off of the testimonies of my parents and peers. I remember as a teen I wasn't living my life the way I had been taught. I was looking for happiness and peace in places it couldn't be found. I realized that my testimony of Jesus Christ was little to none, and I needed to change that. I prayerfully read the Book of Mormon desiring for the witness that it promised. Time after time I would read it my spirit was bolstered and I was changing. Little by little I received spiritual confirmations that Christ is the Son of God and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. My life changed from there and my capacity to serve and go on with life was significantly increased.

How I live my faith

The best ways I've found to live my faith is through love, sacrifice, and obedience. It has been a goal of mine ever since I was young to help others, no matter the cost to myself. I've been taught throughout my life the virtue of sacrifice and service, and it has been a blessing to have so many family members, friends, and a Savior who are the epitome of that. Having the example of Jesus Christ, in the way He lived His life, has driven me to be more charitable, long-suffering, and obedient to what God has asked me to do.
