Hi I'm Jessa

I grew up in the Bay Area, I love politics and Jeopardy!, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from college studying government and politics. I am newly married. I watch Jeopardy every night. I will eat anything if there is avocado on it.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both active members of the Church, and I was raised with their strong examples and testimonies. When I was a teenager, I made it a point to know for myself whether the Church is true. One of the greatest things about this Church is personal revelation. If you have a question for God, you can ask it and He will give you an answer. It may not be immediate, but He will tell you. I asked, and received a strong witness that this is His true Church.

How I live my faith

Within the Church's system of members checking in on other members every month ("visiting teaching"), my calling in the ward is to help other people visit the people they are assigned to. This program is vital to the Church and has so many positive blessings for those who make visits and are visited. I have moved to a number of different wards over the years, and I am always grateful to have a built-in friend when I don't know anyone. This program strengthens the relationships between ward members and makes sure everyone is accounted for.
