Hi I'm Felicia Worthen

"I'm a Kiwi who loves all things New Zealand! I'm serving a mission in Utah, Salt Lake City, Temple Square. I'm a mormon."

About Me

I love my family so much! That would have to be the easiest way to describe me. Of course it hasn't always been fun and laughter, with five sisters and only one brother there were bound to be many arguments! The older I get, the more I see that my family truly are a blessing from my loving Heavenly Father. My close group of friends are just like family to me and I see so many as brothers and sisters, so my family circle just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I love food...especially cake! I worked decorating cakes and loved it! I also love staying in shape and keeping fit! I worked at a gym in Western Australia and loved it! Yes...two very contrasting loves, but I love them both. :) I'm a generally a happy person and I know that that happiness comes from keeping an eternal perspective about life and its challenges. I love this gospel, it makes me stronger, happier, more loving, more willing to serve. It is a blessing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful to my Ma and Dad for raising me in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it is the core of who I am and everything I do is centered around my beliefs. Knowing what I know makes me so HAPPY! That is why I live the way I do. I know that happiness comes in no other way, we may think that we can be happy living other ways of life, however, true, pure and eternal happiness only comes through following the example of Jesus Christ and striving our best to be like Him. This Gospel most importantly gives me hope. Hope for a better world, hope for a better life, hope that when I make mistakes the feelings of sadness and guilt can be replaced with joy and peace. It gives me hope that I can be with my family forever, hope that one day I will return and live with my Father in Heaven again. There are times in our lives when hope may be all we can rely on, I know that Jesus Christ isn't the light at the end of the tunnel, He is the light that guides us all the way through. This Church is true, there is no doubt in my mind, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

As a missionary I live my faith 24/7....I wear the name of whom I have faith in on my chest each and every day. Jesus Christ is my Saviour and I live my faith by choosing to follow him. I strive to stand as a witness of the truthfulness of the things that I represent, I am far from perfect, I make mistakes more often than not, but I do my best and I try to improve myself every day. Being on a mission has changed me, it has changed how I see the world and more importantly how I see myself, how I see that I can be the kind of person that can change the world for the better in some way. I have had many church callings, from leading the music to teaching 8-11 year old children, but the most important calling that I have is to be a representative of Jesus Christ and that began the day I entered into the waters of baptism and became a member of this church.
