Hi I'm Colton

I grew up in Montana, and am attending college in Utah. I love to joke and laugh, and to spend time with friends. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Montana where I loved to spend time outdoors with my family hiking, camping, fishing, backpacking, hunting, and everything in between. I served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Missouri St. Louis, teaching everyone I could about how to draw nearer to Jesus Christ, sharing truths that have brought such great light and joy into my life. I found greater joy sharing that message as a full time missionary than I've ever found in my life. I now am attending college at BYU, where I love to meet new people, participate in a variety of shenanigans, and just do whatever with my friends. I love playing sports-- anything from football to ultimate to ping pong-- anything that gives me the excuse to be competitive. I love to joke and laugh, and try to find the bright side in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to know the truth of the gospel through reading and gaining testimony of the truth of the Book of Mormon. I have faith in the restoration of the gospel by Joseph Smith, and I believe that the church holds the answers to all questions that I might have. I know that by living the gospel, I can live the best life possible, and be the happiest I can be.

How I live my faith

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is much more than something that we read about in the scriptures or talk about at church on Sunday-- it should be something that is a part of who we are. It's something that should bring us joy! I try every day to draw closer to my Savior through living his example so that I might share His light and be an example to those around me. I've felt the light of Christ's perfect love influence every aspect of my life, and owe so much to Him. I try to stay close to Him through scripture study, prayer, and serving those around me. I hope that every day I can do what God wants me to do so that I can be an instrument in his hands to bring joy to others around me.
