Hi I'm Doug

I grew up in California. I am a cycling and aviation enthusiast. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California, moved to the Midwestern United States, and am a father of two. I enjoy cycling and have completed a few 50-mile bike rides. I also enjoy aviation and have logged a few hours as a student pilot in various single-engine aircraft. I am self-employed and provide accounting and bookkeeping services for small businesses.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior, that He died for me, and that He has a plan for me. I know that without Him, I would not be able to enjoy the blessings of eternal life. I am grateful for the scriptures, including the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon. Having the testimony of prophets from multiple nations who testified of Jesus Christ further strengthens my testimony and understanding of Him.

How I live my faith

I have had various opportunities to provide Christian service by teaching youth, working with the Boy Scouts, doing full-time missionary work for 2 years, and training Sunday School teachers. I enjoy sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with those who have a sincere desire to listen and learn what I believe.

Are Mormons Christians?

Jesus said "by their fruits, ye shall know them" (Matthew 7:16-20). Mormons, like other Christians, believe that Jesus Christ is their Savior and that He set the perfect example by the way He lived His life. We should try to pattern our lives after the way He lived His life. While nobody is perfect in this attempt, it is His gospel that guides what Mormons believe and do. Show more Show less
