Hi I'm Julia

Hi! I love to be outside, I'm going to school to be a Speech Pathologist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to learn. I love to try new recipes, learn words in other languages, hike new trails and read new books. Although I've done my fair share of rereading books too :) I just finished my undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders (Speech Therapy) at BYU. I'm waiting to report to the Provo MTC to start my mission in the California Carlsbad Mission. I'm excited to go. I've been accepted to BYU's Communication Disorders grad program and so after my mission I'll start working on my master's degree. I'm excited to start working and helping people.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My testimony has grown as I have grown. For the most part I have not had a religious crisis where I questioned strongly all that I had been taught as a youth. There have, however, been many times in my life where my testimony has been tested and I have had to study and pray to know if what I was learning about was true. I cherish those experiences because they have strengthened my testimony. I continue to follow Christ's gospel because it brings joy into my life. It brings peace and sense of direction to my life. I makes me happier when I am serving others and trusting in God instead of serving myself and trusting in only myself. I believe that Jesus is the Christ and that He suffered for our sins so that we can repent and have joy. I believe that the fullness of the gospel was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith and that we have a prophet on the earth today, President Thomas S. Monson. I know that reading the Book of Mormon and following it's principles makes me a more Christlike person.

How I live my faith

Right now I teach the 7 and 8 year old Sunday School class. There are five kids in the class and they are great. They love to learn too. I try to prepare lessons that will bring them closer to Christ. I also try to look for ways to serve the people around me. It makes them feel good and it makes me feel good.
