Hi I'm Ryan

I have grown up in Utah. I have participated in FFA. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some things about me, I was born and raised in the church. I have spent a lot of time in both 4-H and in FFA raising animals such as sheep and watusi and doing other projects. I am an Eagle Scout and like to hang out with the other boys and have fun, but also do service at the same time. I like to spend time at my grandparents houses where I can help with chores and see the zebras. Just recently, at the age of 18, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. This was a huge game changer for me. When I was diagnosed, my a1c was greater than 14 . Now for those of you who know what this means it is a really bad number to have. I am just glad that it was caught then. Now, just four months since I was diagnosed, my a1c is 5.8. An astounding achievement that could only have come through by the comfort and help that I recieved from family, friends, and doctors. But mostly, it was my mind set to get better, which I did through faith, prayer and learning how to carb count. I am currently serving in the Canada Edmonton Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that I am not perfect and that I can always improve and do better. Being a Mormon gives me a great set of standards to live by. But mostly, I am a Mormon because of the influence of family and friends throughout my life and because I know that this is the work of God here on the earth.

How I live my faith

I have a testimony that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass. So reading and studying the scriptures daily, praying, going to church, paying my tithing, doing home teaching and fulfilling my callings that I receive are all how I live my faith.
