Hi I'm Jason Mark Brown

The Real Guy. The Best Guy. The Mormon Guy. Call Me?

About Me

Growing up in Utah you can assume that I grew up as a Mormon. That's correct. I come from a very loving home with great parents and family. I've never had to worry too much about things of the world, such as money or food or whatever, and I'm not complaining about that, but sometimes because of how fortunate I have been I find it hard to relate to people sometimes. Well, while serving my mission in New Zealand I have come to realize that just like anybody else who is a "Mormon" I have had to be converted. It was a gradual conversion, piece by piece, precept upon precept, year after year, and it will continue to be that way. I plan on attending the University of Utah upon my return to America and I hope to study... something. Not sure yet. I graduated high school in 2013 from Riverton High in Utah. During high school I played tennis and I ran the hurdles and did the long jump on the track team. I enjoy thrift shopping and I love animals, but not enough to abstain from eating some of them. I am the middle child of three, sandwiched by girls. I love my family, I love my life, I love you.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Father in Heaven, and his son Jesus Christ. I love my family and I want to be with them forever. I love my fellow brothers and sisters of the world, no matter the color of the skin, or the beliefs they possess. I am a Mormon because I want to be like Jesus Christ, and live with God again.

How I live my faith

Currently I am living my faith in the remote cities and towns of New Zealand. Growing up I always heard stories of my dad's mission in Rome which made me want to serve as well. I was called to serve a full time mission in the New Zealand Wellington Mission. Essentially, I go around helping people receive the message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I do this by talking with people on the streets, knocking on their doors, giving a helping hand, teaching people about the gospel, and first and foremost, inviting people to follow Jesus Christ. Before my mission I lived my faith by attending seminary, or religious classes, taking time out of my normal school schedule. I live my faith 7 days a week by being an upright, honest, modest, courteous, charitable person. I have clean language. I abstain from drugs and alcohol. I surround myself with good friends. I served in the community youth council, hosting community events and giving service on a regular basis. I do my best to uphold the law, and I do my best to help everyone, and to love them. That is how I live my religion.

What is the priesthood?

Jason Mark Brown
The Priesthood quite simply is God working through man. The power for man on earth to do the will of the Father, such as performing sacred ordinances that are essential to our salvation. The Sacrament, Baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and Marriage are all done with the Priesthood. Show more Show less
