Hi I'm Jamison

I am an optometry student in from a the middle of nowhere Oregon. I love my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a small town boy currently living in the big city. I am married and have a beautiful daughter. Being a father and a husband are two of my favorite hobbies. I also love getting outdoors, riding mountain bikes, playing soccer, volleyball and Frisbee. I am also a pin collector and gardener. I am an optometry student and I enjoy travelling to new places. So far I have traveled to over half of the United States and hope to visit all someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church and have been since I was 17. I have had many instances in my life where I have witnessed the gospel in my life, have felt the presence of the Holy Spirit as he guided me, and seen miracles in my life. But it wasn't until I actually prayed to my Heavenly Father and asked him if the Book of Mormon was the word of God that I knew without a doubt that God and Jesus Christ live. I know that the Gospel has been restored to the world and that God has called prophets to help and guide us on the Earth again. I know that if I follow the commandments that I can one day return to my Heavenly Father and live forever with my family. To know this is the greatest gift and is why I love the Gospel.

How I live my faith

For me, living my faith is how I serve others. There is something special and uplifting about helping others around you, whether it is by helping someone move or just washing their dishes after an evening together. By serving others, I find that it draws me closer to my Savior because it reminds me of his selfless service that he showed others and depends my love for him.
