Hi I'm Jane

I love sports, children, nature, food, animals, and sleeping. I love my family lots. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town and continue to love small towns and living the "simple life." I grew up as an avid sports fan and played every sport that was offered. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from BYU and worked in the mental health field for 6 years before my son was born. I worked with children and teens who had experienced trauma, abuse, and neglect. Many had parents in prison and were themselves delinquent. Work is a passion of mine and I plan to pursue my Masters Degree once my children are grown. I married my best friend in 2011 and in 2014 we welcomed our first child. I am now a stay at home mother and am amazed daily by the amount of love I can feel for my sweet son. My husband and I love being outdoors and staying active. Our first home was bought as a foreclosure and we spend most of our free time improving our home or spending time together as a family. We both love children and family and love being surrounded by each of our extended family members. We both enjoy working in our yard and love the peace that nature brings to us. We love to camp, hike, and just relax outdoors whenever we can.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. The teachings of the gospel are designed with our happiness in mind. When we make good choices and obey God's commandments, we are blessed and our joy increases. This does not mean that life will be easy or without challenges but the more we consistently choose the right, the greater peace and happiness we will have. Life can be very difficult at times but my testimony in Jesus Christ has carried me through times of darkness. I believe that many religions have wonderful truths that can bring great joy, but I am a Mormon because I believe The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of Christ restored to the earth today. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is set up the same way as Christ's church was when it was first established on this earth. I am a Mormon because I love the emphasis the church places on families and I know that in families we can experience a piece of heaven on earth. My family is my most prized possession and I want nothing more than to be with my family forever. I am happy, because I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have worked with the children at church for the past 3 years. I love going to church each Sunday and interacting with the kids. Children have a way of making me smile and I love their energy and enthusiasm. I also enjoy meeting new people and I try to be friends with everyone that I meet. I love to help and serve others and I love when I am able to help those in need, even in small ways.
