Hi I'm Carter

I was born and raised in Canada. I'm a snowboader,I'm a guitarist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Carter. I live in southern Alberta and just graduated from high school.I will be serving a mission for my church in the Salt Lake City East Mission; I begin my service on July 23rd and will serve for two years. I enjoy snowboarding in the Canadian Rockies with my friends, playing basketball, watching football, and jamming on my Gibson Les Paul guitar. I love science and when I get back from my mission I plan on going to university to become an engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes sense. Everything the church teaches just seems to sit right with me. It makes so much sense that we lived before we came here, that we're here to be tested, and that we will live again when we die. The battle between good and evil in this world seems very obvious to me now that I know that it is happening. Aside from that, there are also too many "coincidences" and things that work so perfectly for us to even be on this earth. There is no way that our amazing world could be so exquisite and wonderful simply by chance.

How I live my faith

Currently I am still a part of the church's youth program called young men's. As a part of this program I help to plan and participate in various weekly activities; these activities often include service projects, sports and activities to develop our personal skills. I am also a priest. This means that every week I bless the sacrament (bread and water that represent Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for us, and our promise to follow him) and occasionally assist in passing it to the congregation.
