Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in Bakersfield, California. I am studding to be a special Education teacher. I'm a mormon.

About Me

Hi, My name is Emily. I am currently a college student. I am studying to be a Special Elemementary Education teacher. I love to play the piano and read books. I love doing anything fun with my friends, including track.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because belonging to this church makes my life so mush easier. Everyone has trials on this earth and I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father and Savior who will help me endure my challanges as I pray for strength. Through belongign to this church I understand that this life does not end. Meaning that when a loved on dies I will be able to see them again. I have constant peace each day knowing that Heavenly Father wants me to improve and that this life is just preparing me for the blessings that the Lord had in store for me.

How I live my faith

I have served in callings were I work with younger children. Through working with younger children I have been able to see God's light shine through their eyes. I am currently serving in a calling called the Temple cordinator. This is a calling where I help people in going to the house of the Lord to be baptized for those who have died and did not get a chance to hear the gospel on this earth.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

We can come to know our Father in Heaven by praying to him and asking to know that he is there. The more that we pray the closer our relationship is with our Heavenly Father. It is important to pray at all times and not only when we need help. Read the scriptures and listen to his words directly to us and to the prophets. Keep the commandments that the Lord has set for us. Obedience to what he asks us to do in this life will help bring us closer to God and know that he lives. Show more Show less
