Hi I'm Baylee

I grew up in Utah. I am a student at Brigham Young University. I am currently serving a mission in Des Moines, Iowa. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and have lived in Utah most my life and am currently serving a mission Des Moines, Iowa where the corn rolls for miles and the skies are beautiful! I finished one year of college at Brigham Young University and absolutely loved it. I love spending time with my family and extended family. They are my best friends. I love to laugh, goof around, and have fun with whatever I'm doing. I love camping and traveling on vacations. I love watching movies, eating yummy food, but mostly being with people I love. I love telling people about this gospel and being a full-time missionary for the church--I have found no greater joy than the joy I feel as I am representing Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

The majority of my family are members of the church so I grew up in the church all my life. Because I grew up in Utah with lots of faithful members around me, living the standards of this gospel became the norm for me. However, as I've travelled and grown older, I've come to realize what sets this church apart from everyone else and have seen how it has blessed my life enormously. I began to have a testimony of my own when I went to activities and camps in the church, then later I went on a two-week church history tour with a big group of people in my school where I learned how this gospel was once again restored to the earth. The spirit I've felt all my life and the feelings I've had during these times are undeniable. I've read the Book of Mormon and had absolute confirmation of the truthfulness of its words. I have a testimony that this is the only true church upon the earth and that it is guided by prophets and apostles of God to bless His children. I will do everything I can to share what I know with everyone because of the happiness I've been blessed to feel every single day of my life from being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to others around me and never compromising my standards. I try to live this gospel to its fullest every day. In high school, I was called to be a counselor in the Young Women organization then called to be the president. Learning to love the girls in my neighborhood and how to care for them helped me more than I could even help them and became a huge blessing in my life. In college, I also served as a teacher for the women in my ward and every time I have served the church I have been significantly blessed for it. I'm grateful that the Lord uses us as tools in His hands so in turn, He can teach us and we can learn to be guided.
