Hi I'm Jill

I am a mom, wife, sister, daughter and friend. I grew up in Utah and now live in Georgia. I am a child of GOD and I am a MORMON.

About Me

I was blessed to have been born into the covenant. (meaning my parents were church members) I am a stay at home mom of 2 amazing kids. M is 9 and is so full of drama and life and C is 11 and such an old soul. My amazing husband, J and I have been married for almost 18 years. J is a convert. J has been in the Air Force for 17 years, so we have lived in quite a few places. Alaska, Texas, all over Utah and a few months ago we started a new adventure in Georgia. J and I have just decided to take our children out of the public school system and try home schooling. (Prayer's needed) I love to craft. Crafting is what keeps me sane an in-sane world. (May need to craft more due to homeschool craziness.)

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have seen the many blessings that being a part of this church has brought to my life. I am Mormon because I believe whole heartedly that our father in heaven sent his son Jesus Christ to be our Savior and atone for our sins. I am so grateful for a kind, wise, loving savior that can help me overcome my faults, my mistakes and my sins. I am so thankful for the mercy that he has shown me. I am Mormon because I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet called by god to restore the true church back to the earth. I know that with the help of our loving heavenly father, Joseph Smith was given the Golden Plates and was able to translate them to bring forth the Book Of Mormon. I know that Jesus Christ and our loving Father in heaven restored the Priesthood to the Earth so that we could again have the Church of Jesus Christ on the earth and be able to continue his work. There are so many reasons that I am Mormon. It would take me all night and way to many words to say. My hope is that if you truly want to know why I and so many others are Mormon, you will read the Book of Mormon and pray to know of its truth for yourself. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

J and I are teachers of the Gospel Principals class in our ward. This is a class for new members, investigators and reactivated members. In this class we get to teach the basic principals of the gospel. It has been amazing to be able to teach new investigators and share with them my testimony of the happiness that this gospel can bring to their lives. I am also a Ward Missionary. I absolutely love to go with the Sister Missionaries that are assigned to our ward, and teach the gospel to people. It is so rewarding. We also really love to feed the 3 sets of Missionaries that are assigned to the ward. They bring so much fun to our family.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jill
The only way to know the truth is to pray to our Father in Heaven. Read the Book of Mormon and then pray to know that the things that you have read are true. Seek knowledge, learn all that you can, And then pray having unwavering faith that God will answer your prayer. In the New Testament James 1:5-6 it says: If‍ any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth‍ to all men‍ liberally, and upbraideth‍ not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask‍ in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. Show more Show less
