Hi I'm Emily

I love writing! I think promoting understanding among all people is important. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Overall, I love creativity. To elaborate, I'm the type of person who spends her free time reading and writing and drawing. Anything that can pull me into a new world is fascinating to me. I spend quite a bit of time online, mostly in the creative communities. My favorite thing to do, however, is make other people smile. I hope you smile too!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Well, the answer is really very simple: the church is true. It might be hard to understand why that is, though, so maybe I can explain. Heavenly Father's presence has always affected me throughout my life. Without Him, I cannot imagine how I could have made it through many of the trials in my life. The gospel has given me strength, and the scriptures have provided me with wisdom that is truly inspired and ultimately priceless. No, I can't say I've had any miraculous moments where I've suddenly gained a testimony. The experiences I've had throughout my life and the spirit I've repeatedly felt have made it so that I am unable to deny the truth of the gospel. I know it's true. It's as simple as that. Actually, I can say that the church is the reason I'm alive today. I'm a Mormon because I've felt the true happiness only attainable through Heavenly Father. I'm a Mormon because I've seen miracles in the people around me. I'm a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true, because I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet inspired by God, because I know we have a living prophet today and because I've labored all my life to know if the church is true. I know the church is true, and that it has the power to change lives and create endless miracles.

How I live my faith

I love my ward! Right now, I'm still a youth, and I help out the other young women around my age. I like to support the other youth as much as I can, and I like to spend time helping out at activities. My ward is always there when I need help, so I make sure and help out whenever I can too!
