Hi I'm Amy

I grew up in Utah, I love the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Utah my whole life, and I grew up enjoying camping and being outdoors. Utah has so many beautiful national parks and camping spots. I camp every summer and love fishing, hiking, and just being with my family. I am also a college student and am working towards becoming an elementary school teacher. This year, I got to take a geology class and was able to visit a few places like the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon National Park, and Zion's National Park. I remember learning and seeing how diverse this earth is, and how amazing it truly is. I remember thinking that there is no way that this earth came to be by coincidence. I believe there is a God. That is why I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church helps me to be a better person. It helps me to understand that even when we make mistakes, we can be forgiven. It helps me to know that this life is not the end. Because of the knowledge that I have of this gospel, I have peace in my life, and I am happy. I know that God is real. I know that He is our loving father in heaven, and that He cares for us and knows us each individually. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and that he died for us because he loves us. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church here upon the earth. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Even though it is not required, I am leaving my home, my family, and my education to serve a mission. I have been called to serve in the Ohio Cleveland Mission. I am so happy to be able to go and teach people about the light and love of Jesus Christ, and about our Heavenly Father (God) who loves us more than we can comprehend. He wants us to be happy, and this gospel is what truly brings peace and happiness. I want to spread that light and happiness to as many people as I can, and that is why I am leaving everything behind to serve for 18 months.
