Hi I'm Laura

I am the oldest of four kids, currently a freshman at college studying Criminal Justice and Pre Med.

About Me

I spend my spare time playing rugby, playing guitar, or playing video games. I'm also working on a novel, and studying to become either a homicide detective or a medical examiner.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the gospel since birth, but I believe everyone has a conversion story. When I was in Junior High, I fell away spiritually from the church. I still attended meetings, but had no interest in what was being said. I didn't hang out with bad people, but spiritually we were all starved. Finally, as I was about to enter high school, I realized that I was not happy with my life. I remember spending many midnight prayers trying to get back to my spiritual-rich life I had known as a kid. Ever since then I have been much more involved spiritually in the church. I still have many of the same friends that I had during that time---as I said before, they aren't bad people. We still keep in touch and they are some of the kindest and strongest people I have ever known, and they have helped strengthen me and my testimony.

How I live my faith

I attend church weekly and study my scriptures--I also have a personal goal to give at least one hour of my day to the lord through service, personal study or meditation, etc. I also try to set a daily example for my friends and always pray for guidance.
