Hi I'm Tyler Mills

I'm a history student, a reader, a writer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading all sorts of books. I'm fascinated by history of all kinds and I also love reading fantasy, comic books, historical fiction, and all sorts of other fiction and nonfiction. I'm a college student majoring in history, and I want to be a teacher. Music has also been a big part of my life, I played the Trumpet for eight years and enjoyed playing in high school and for awhile in college. I also love to play Magic: the Gathering. My writing interests are varied, I am an avid journal writer but I'm also writing a novel.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel really is about loving and serving other people and about being transformed through the process. In my life the rewards of ongoing effort to come to know Jesus Christ have been greater happiness than I have ever known before, and a peace of mind that only comes by living our Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness. My faith brings joy and purpose to my life. I know that Jesus Christ lives. He really is the son of God, he really walked the roads of Palestine teaching and performing miracles, and he really suffered the agony of Gethsemane and crucifixion on Golgotha in order to atone for our sins and make it possible for us, on conditions of repentance, to become like Him and return to dwell in the presence of our Heavenly Father after this life. I know these things are true because I searched the scriptures and prayed to ask God if they were true. I don't ask anyone to take my word for it, but invite everyone to read and ponder the Book of Mormon and vocally pray and ask God if the book is true. I know and testify that if you have a real desire to know the truth, and a real intent to act on that truth, God will answer that prayer and you can come to a real testimony for yourself. I promise that decision can transform your life for the better, if you let it.

How I live my faith

During the last four years I have served as a Sunday School Teacher. I have a great love for the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, and I love sharing what I learn with others. I also love being a home teacher because home teaching is always an opportunity to make wonderful new friends and to serve families in my neighborhood. For me living my faith is all about coming to know Jesus Christ through diligent daily study and application of the scriptures and the words of the living prophets. From that effort I learn what is right, and then do my best go and do it every day.
