Hi I'm Abby Yingling

I was raised in Utah. I love to sing and read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I absolutely love to sing. In High School, I competed in high jump, played the cello, sang in choir, and took as many classes as I could. I plan to graduate from college majoring in vocal performance and minoring in mathematics. I love to run, read, and swim. I teach swimming lessons during the summer and it's simply wonderful.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. However, I have chosen to remain a member, and each day I correctly live the principles taught, I find peace and happiness. As I have read my scriptures and prayed to my Father in Heaven, I have been enlightened and filled with the knowledge that I am a daughter of God. I have learned that He and his Son, Jesus Christ, love me more than I can comprehend. I've come to know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph Smith was called of God to translate it so that we can have it today. I'm grateful for his sacrifice. I've learned that Christ atoned for my sins, pains, and temptations. Because of this, I have found hope. Through my faith in Christ, I can be cleansed of my sins and I can be comforted when I need reassurance. I have experienced this feeling of being made clean and I have felt the peace promised to those who act according to His commandments. I'm very grateful that I have grown up knowing my purpose and knowing who I can look to for support and love.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my church meetings. I go to all 3 hours of church on Sunday. I also participate in ward activities. I read the Book of Mormon and other scriptures every morning, and I pray daily. I try to live my life in a way that would please my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
