Hi I'm Anna

A Southern girl, graduate of BYU, a recipe blogger, a team member at Power of Moms, a mother, a grandmother--and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an empty-nester--both daughters are married with their own families--and work part-time at our local performing arts center as a box office manager. It's a small venue, but I really enjoy my interaction with community members. My computer skills have been developed here and I am able to use them in other areas of my like. "Skills to pay the bills" as my 3-year-old grandson says. Organizing/decluttering is a favorite hobby, as well as going to the movies, working out (Zumba!), and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was two years old when my parents were taught by missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and were baptized--so I am pretty much a lifetime member! I have continued in my faith for many reasons: solid Gospel principles; a testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and of my Heavenly Father, the peace that having a living prophet of God to guide and direct the Lord's Church, in this crazy world we live in; the Book of Mormon, a second witness of Jesus Christ. I don't always follow through with staying as close to the Lord as I should by reading the scriptures and praying daily, but I am on the journey and He knows I am trying to be more like Him and I will get better.

How I live my faith

I have always loved going to church and being involved in the various programs that are available for its members. My whole family is active in the church--Mom, Dad, and my four sisters with their families, my children and their families. It's great to share the same faith with them.
