Hi I'm Tyler Collins Hill

I'm adopted, I'm a nerd, I'm a geek, I'm a jock, I'm a gamer, I'm a workout fanatic, I'm a Minnesota Vikings fan, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 26 year old missionary serving in the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission. I will be serving from May 7, 2014-April 21, 2015. I actually completed the first year of my mission from January 2008-January 2009 and I'm back serving in the same mission and the same areas I served in 6 years ago. Back home I was a workout fiend. Between my workouts and cardio I would workout around 3.5-4 hours a day. I'm a sports junkie. I love playing all sports and I love watching all sports. The NFL is my favorite. Sadly I'm a huge Minnesota Vikings fan, its my burden to bear for life, and it has led me to become very optimistic. In my mind, the best that can happen will happen, until it doesn't happen. Im a little kid at heart. My best friends are my nieces and nephews. I would hangout with my nephews everyday. My nephews and I play Marvel superheros, TMNT, Star Wars lightsaber battles and love watching cartoons and playing video games together. My family means the world to me. I would do anything for my family, and nothing makes me happier than spending time with them especially around holidays. Knowing that I will spend eternity with my family brings me immense joy and happiness. I'm forever thankful for the comfort, hope, and peace that the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings me in my everyday life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was raised in the church. Sadly that wasn't enough to keep me active throughout my life. But luckily it set the blue print for me, so when I decided to take religion seriously I knew where to begin. I felt God's love for me so powerfully that I couldn't deny the spiritual experiences that I had experienced. I came to know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ was real, and it works. Regardless of my past, I knew that I could be made pure and clean through the Atonement. We can all become "white as snow" no matter what our past. After my experiences, and feeling the healing power of the Atonement I knew that I had to complete my mission. After all that my Father has given to me, the least I could do was finish what I started 6 years ago. It truly is a miracle that I'm out here finishing my mission, its a miracle of the Atonement. I know this Church is true, which means all of the Church's teachings are true and it brings me great joy.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith through my actions everyday. I'm a missionary, a representative of Jesus Christ, and I do the best I can to follow Christ's example. Obedience is key. My favorite thing about being a missionary is the relationships I've developed with people. Through my experiences I've grown to truly love all of the people of Pittsburgh. The Gospel is all about Love and I try to live my life in a way where others can feel the love that their Father has for them through me.
