Hi I'm Jack

I grew up in Arizona. I have an amazing family. I love to play sports and chill on the beach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies include playing sports and hanging out with friends. Family is the most important thing to me. I love spending time with them and would do anything for them. I have great friends who are always there for me through the thick and thin. I don't know what I would do with out them. Basketball and Track have been a big part of my life. I like to travel and see new places and cultures. I just graduated high school and plan on attending college after I return from my mission in Nicaragua.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in the church by my two parents. They are faithful and active members of church, but they are not the reason that I am a member today. Growing up I've been surrounded by LDS influence and have lived in a highly populated Mormon community. Most of my friends are Mormon and we all have been raised to follow the standards of the church. Most of my childhood I attended church just because my parents told me too. Because that was the right thing to do. I never questioned if what I was learning was true or not. My parents told me it was true so I believed them. As I got older I began to think more and more about the gospel and if it was true. I started to think about why I was going to church and if I truly believed in the gospel. I needed to know it was true for myself and not because my parents told me it was true. I began to read my scriptures more and pray to my heavenly father for clarity and strength. The prompting I received was to read the Book of Mormon. As I read and completed the Book of Mormon I became overwhelmed with the spirit. I have never felt the spirit so strongly. After reading the Book of Mormon there is no possible way the church could not be true. The Book of Mormon truly testifies of Christ and the teachings found in this book are of God. I now Know for myself that this is the true gospel. That Jesus Christ Died for our sins, that only through his atonement are we cleansed of our sins and can return to Him and our Heavenly Father above. Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God and helped restore the true gospel of Christ back on earth. I know for myself that this is the true gospel of Christ. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings every Sunday with my family. As a youth, we organize tons of activities for other youth to come to and participate in every Wednesday. I try to make sure every youth is involved and feels needed. My dad and I are assigned a family in the ward to home teach. We visit the family once a month to check up on them and ask if they need any help with anything.
