Hi I'm Addison Goff

I love to act on stage. I love to dance. I love to sing wherever. I am a poet. I am a reader. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from high school and got my mission call to Oregon, Salem; I report to the MTC on July 23, 2014. I have been in choirs for 7 years and have been singing for longer. I love dancing freestyle at dances and Swing dancing with my friends. I love acting in plays, musicals, and one-acts. I love writing poems for a hobby. If anyone remembered anything about me it would be that I say 'enjoy' when I tell them good-bye.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a family who lived the gospel in their lives daily, but I myself had to find out for myself if everything I was raised up with was true. I prayed to find out if the Book of Mormon was true and the Holy Ghost bore testimony to my heart that it was true. But the questions didn't stop there, throughout the years questions would pop up when challenges or controversies would come in my life: Is God really there? Is he really aware about me and my insignificant life? If he cares for everyone why is there pain and suffering in the world? Will the dead really come back? Why do I receive the challenges that I do? With every question I gave came an answer, God wanted me to become stronger and have a strong relationship with him so he answered my questions with not just a plain yes or no but through experiences, which required patience and faith on my part every time. God is really there and he cares for every soul who lived, lives, or will live on this earth. God and Jesus are aware of my pain and challenges and they wants to help. Jesus suffered for my sins so I could have the opportunity to repent. Pain was a part of life here on earth and it could turnout to help us in the long run, as could any experience we can experience. Those who have passed away can repent of their sins and will be able to come back. Every challenge I have received has helped me become a better person and grow. I know God and Jesus love us and will do whatever they can to help every person who will let God and Jesus help them. The Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and Thomas Monson is a prophet of God today. God loves us. I know all of this to be true in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I try to lead and participate in youth programs and activities as best as I can. I try to help out my neighbors whenever someone moves somewhere else or when there is anything I could help with. I go to church every week and I try to have Christ be a part of my life every minute of every day.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Addison Goff
The Atonement is the experience that Jesus had in the Garden of Gethsemane and when he was crucified. In the Atonement Jesus felt pain that everyone had and will go through (emotional, physical, etc...) and he also suffered for the sins everyone had committed. The Atonement was necessary so that everyone has the opportunity to be forgiven of their sins and also when in the Final Judgement Day Jesus can be the perfect judge of everyone. Show more Show less
