Hi I'm Margaret Reid

I have been a Mormon all my life. I live in New Mexico. I am a Grandmother and a Great-Grandmother.

About Me

I was born into a good LDS family. I am the second child and oldest daughter of a family of five girls and 3 boys. I was baptized when I was eight years old. I am a mother of three daughters and one son, the grandmother of fifteen and the great-grandmother of ten. My husband and I have been married for 60 years. I was blessed to be a stay-at-home mother. I and my husband raised our family in Utah, California and New Mexico as the family followed him in his career. I have been active in volunteer work and in the Church. I enjoy knitting, especially making sweaters for grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I also enjoy reading and music.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church learning about Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. It was a step by step process and it took me some time to really appreciate what the Gospel brought into my life. I have learned that my Heavenly Father knows me by name and loves me unconditionally. I have learned that His son, Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that he loves me so much he gave His life for me. I know that through obedience I can return and live with Heavenly Father and Jesus and my family through all eternity. I have learned that Heavenly Father has a plan for my life. Knowing this has given me the strength to face life's challenges and trials. Because of the knowledge I have, I know I can claim the blessings promised if I am obedient and live my life according to His plan.

How I live my faith

There is a song that the children of the Church sing titled "I'm Trying To Be Like Jesus" . I try to make this a pattern for my life. I have served in many different capacities in the youth programs, with the young children and with adults. For the last several years, my husband and I have served together including three full-time missions for the Church. We now serve as ordinance workers in the Albuquerque Temple and have other responsibilities in our local congregation. We hope to continue serving both now and in the hereafter.
