Hi I'm Sue

I grew up in Connecticut. I love to hike, backpack, bike, and kayak. I work as a physical therapist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom to 3 grown children. I currently work in a nursing home as a physical therapist. Previously I worked with special needs children. I love working with people and listening to their stories. I also love animals, enjoy reading, and spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ centered and I believe it is the restored church...set up the same way that Jesus had set up His church when He lived on earth...with apostles and prophets. It helps me understand that there is a plan and purpose to my life. It helps me to understand why I have trials in my life and then I am better able to handle them. A very dear friend passed away recently and I found that the church teachings and my church friends were what brought me the most comfort in dealing with my grief. I am provided guidance when I am faithful and Heavenly Father gives answers to my prayers.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in the church. I teach gospel-based lessons to the women at church once a month and I enjoy their comments. I am also the camp director for the girls youth camp held in Vermont this year. I read scriptures and pray daily and I attend church on Sundays. I try to keep Christ in my life by treating others the way he taught.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

When you pass away, your spirit leaves your body. Those who have been faithful will go the spirit world where they will be with loved ones who have passed before. They will have the same personality and characteristics that they had on earth. They are close by but invisible to us here on earth. Some spirits of loved ones know what we are doing and what we are thinking. They learn and teach others the Gospel. Spirits wait in the spirit world until they are resurrected when their spirits and bodies will come back together for eternity. In eternity, we will live together with our families.
