Hi I'm Chandler Tague

I live in Idaho. I'm tall and always hungry. I love to play, watch and think about basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Idaho. I was born at 29 weeks and weighed just 2 lbs 14 oz. Today, I am 6'3" and still growing. I love to eat. I love to play basketball, watch basketball and think about basketball. I am an honor student and an Eagle Scout. I am one of 6 children. I have worked part time since the age of 16 to save for my mission. I will be the first missionary to serve on my mom's side of the family. I will serve in September in the Ecuador Guayaquil South Mission and I can't wait. I spent three of my high school years in Oklahoma City. I met so many interesting, diverse and kind people there. The southerners really do know hospitality. I spent many hours with the missionaries in Oklahoma City knocking on doors and sharing the gospel. I am grateful to be able to serve the people of Ecuador and share with them our Heavenly Father's plan of happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of every day missionaries. My grandmother was invited to a church activity and loved how kind and friendly the people were and she wanted to know more. She visited with the full time missionaries and began taking the discussions. She was baptized and raised my mom in the gospel. I love this gospel and it is who I am. I live it and breathe it and share it whenever I can. I love my Savior and I love that he is my brother. I am grateful to my Heavenly Father who has a plan for me to return to live with him. I am grateful for a living prophet who can testify of his divinity and the sacred power of this gospel. I have read the Book of Mormon and know of it's truth. Reading it will bring you great peace and joy and will give you a deeper understanding and love for our Savior.

How I live my faith

I have been First Assistant to our Bishop and loved serving in that capacity. Our ward has 95 youth and I was always busy with assignments. There are also many service opportunities as we have some single sisters and widows. I love being able to show up with a shovel or work gloves and help wherever needed. I find great blessings in giving to those in need. I have wonderful home teaching families and a valiant partner who goes with me each month to visit and share a message. His name is also Chandler. So it's the Chandler's that go home teaching! I am also an Eagle Scout. For my project I organized 32 volunteers and my own time at a local cemetery that is over 100 years old. Over time, the headstones sink into the ground, making it difficult to mow around them. The volunteers and I dug around each stone, lifted them up and placed road mix under them. We completed 50 headstones. It was a huge amount of work, but very worth it. Giving service brings me happiness. I am excited to serve a mission and share with the people of Ecuador how much our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to be happy.
