Hi I'm Elle

I am majoring in athletic therapy and I love dirtbiking and backpacking!! Oh and my family is awesome. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I LOVE backpacking, especially in Southern Utah and specifically I love water hikes. It's really fun when you can find a little waterfall that works as a slide. My family and I like to think we're hard core when we're riding dirtbikes, but really we're not. I did two semesters of college and now I'm preparing to serve a mission in Argentina!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, so I've learned it my whole life. I've always known that the church is true. The standards of the church are standards I choose to live by. As I meet new people and look at the way the world is going, I realize more how the values I've learned and lived my whole life have saved me from trouble and heartache. People may think that the LDS church has too many rules and asks too much, but really these guidelines are to help us stay free. It focuses on eternal joy rather than momentary happiness. My cousin and his wife had a baby that was only a week old when he died. Of course it was a very sad time for our family, but the church teaches and we believe that families are forever and my cousin and his wife will be with their baby boy again. So as I said before, it was so sad, but it is comforting to know that we will see our family members again after they pass away.

How I live my faith

I work on the college campus with a very diverse group of people. We don't all believe the same things. I've learned that I can still be friends with these people and respect them, but at the same time I can maintain my testimony. Often times my coworkers ask me questions and I am able to tell them about the church and what I believe. My calling in the church right now is to work with a group of young women ages 12-18 and soon, like I said before, I will be going on a mission!!
