Hi I'm Tawnya

I grew up in Utah and California. I am a wife, soon to be mom, and a nurse. I am a Latter Day Saint of the Church of Jesus Chirst

About Me

I am a registered nurse newly graduated and I love my job. I am a soon to be mom and love spending time with my family, which continues to grow. I enjoy hiking, camping, reading, anything that has to do with water. I love crafts and learning how to do something I have never done before. I like to garden, watch movies and sew my own clothing.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was raised in a very strong Mormon family, as a youth I did not believe as my parents and often sought to be more like friends. I was often unhappy and moody, and made decisions based off of the what I thought was popular. When I went away to college, I had several roommates that were Mormon, I would look at them and see that they had a happiness I lacked. They were quick to find the joy in the simple things and were not ashamed to stand out as a Mormon. After years of being unhappy, and upset with the world, I sincerely prayed for the first time in years. I felt a profound feeling of love as knelt in my small dorm room. I was loved despite my faults and past wrongs. I have never forgotten that feeling because it often renewed when I communicate with my Father in Heaven. As I started to repent of my sins and draw closer to my Savior, I found a deep joy. The gospel has brought me great, fulfilling joy, to my life. I am grateful daily for its influence in my life. I know the Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me and I am often reminded how much, I pray that others may to find and feel that love and the joy that comes with it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the little things that help build my faith and include attending church weekly, scripture study, daily prayer and trying to be more like our Savior Jesus Christ. While I do no t always succeed, I feel that the Lord accepts my humble efforts and reminds me of His love for me. I have served in many position in my church and find peace when serve others.
