Hi I'm Durinda Lee Westhof

I was born in Afton N.Y. grew up in Lakeland Florida. I started a nonprofit organization to help people with paper work.

About Me

I just got married to a wonderful man that adores me. I enjoy listening to music, sewing and learning about the gospel. Spending time with my family is my second joy as spending time with Heavenly Fatheris my first.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I searched for a very long time for answers that no other religion could give me. It wasn't the church that answered my questions. It was Heavenly Father that gave me the answers. The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints gave me The Book of Mormons. Asked me to read it and pray to Heavenly Father for the answers. So I did just that. Over the next three months I read and I prayed several times a day. Then a day came that Satin was creeping into my life and causing a big commotion. I called the missionaries and asked for a Blessing. The following day the Bishop and the president of the Priesthood came to give me a blessing and to dedicated our home. It was the very first time that having a Blessing over me that I really felt Blessed. I mean I was really moved. That day proved to me that the men in our church that are worthy of holding the Priesthood really do have the authority to do so. That day I received a message from heaven that I truly was home where I belonged.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading scriptures, helping others, being kind to everyone, and attending services each Sunday. I keep each Sunday holy. I am on the planning committee for the Relief Society as well as a visiting teacher. But most of all I try to just live up to the" WWJD" (What Would Jesus Do) standard.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

You can know God through prayer, by keeping his commandments, serving others and by listening to testimony of others. Show more Show less
