Hi I'm Sister Echevarria

I'm a missionary in the California Fresno Mission.

About Me

I'm 19 years old, currently serving in Fresno, and the oldest child in my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that this gospel is true. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true, and the spirit testified to me that it is. I know that the Book of Mormon is meant to help us through our trials today. I know that President Monson is called of God to be our prophet on the earth today, and it comforts me to know that he receives revelation for us today. I am so thankful to be a member of an eternal family, and to know that one day I will see the family members that have passed from this life. I'm a Mormon because this gospel brings me so much comfort, joy, and hope.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be an example to everyone around me. In previous years I served as pianist and organist, and a Sunday School teacher. I strive to follow Christ's example and to show love towards everyone.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Sister Echevarria
The Atonement of Jesus Christ includes His suffering in the garden for our sins and dying on the cross for us. The Atonement is so necessary because it's the only way that we can be forgiven of our sins and return to live with Heavenly Father. The Atonement allows us to ask for forgiveness of our sins and to receive that forgiveness. Jesus Christ was the only one who could perform this for us because He was perfect. I'm so thankful for Atonement and the ways that it has changed my life and made me a better person. I know that as long as I have faith and continue to ask for forgiveness and strive to keep the commandments I can return to live with our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Sister Echevarria
Family is so important because families are eternal. We are all God's children, and He has blessed us with families while we're here on this earth to give us a support system and to help lead each other back to His presence. Families provide a setting for the growth and experiences of life. Show more Show less
