Hi I'm Dana

I'm 26 years old, I love my family, our dog, and reading books.

About Me

I like to go running (a new hobby, still trying to work on distance!), read, and craft. I really love spending time outside - hiking, camping, playing in water. I've been married for almost 3 years and we don't have any kids quite yet. We are currently living in Georgia for one more year. I love it here and will miss it, but know we will have to move on! :)

Why I am a Mormon

For me personally, I couldn't imagine not being a Mormon. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints just makes sense to me. No, I don't know the answers to everything, but I don't need to. I've had spiritual confirmation that this church is true. I've had experiences where I've felt the spirit testify to me of the truthfulness of The Book of Mormon and the reality that we truly do have a living prophet on the earth today and those feelings and the knowledge I have of it's truth cannot be denied. I'm a Mormon because this gospel brings me joy like I've never felt before. I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. Without Him and HIs atonement I would be lost. I see their hands in my life almost daily.

How I live my faith

I am the president of the girl's youth class and I LOVE IT! Not only is it a lot of fun, but I've grown so much spiritually while working besides these amazing young women. My assignment with them has helped me to become a better person in a lot of ways. I've found myself trying to be better and more Christlike because of them - I know I need to be led and guided by the spirit to help guide and teach them. Morning and evening prayer has become especially important to me. I love how I feel as I sincerely start and end my day with a prayer.
