Hi I'm Tyler

I'm preparing to serve in the Hungary Budapest Mission. I play many different string instruments and write songs. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent high school graduate. I play various string instruments, particularly the bass, and write my own songs. I have performed with three bands (outside of school) in two countries. I love the outdoors and experiencing the magnificent world that God created for us. Since I was a child, I always studied and analyzed the world around me starting with my own backyard. I enjoy any chance I get to go hiking, mountain biking, fishing, or simply observing the beauty of nature. I consider myself quite the handyman, or prospective handyman at least. I enjoy hands-on work and being active, but also enjoy learning, studying, and reflecting on the miraculous details of life and the world around us. In a few years I will begin school to become a large-animal veterinarian, working with cattle, horses, and other livestock.

Why I am a Mormon

The Book of Mormon prophets all share their knowledge and testimony's of the gospel of Jesus Christ, yet they never say to simply take their word for it. Each one of them encourages us to pray and to find out for ourselves. They each promise that the Holy Ghost will tell us in our hearts and in our minds that we may know the truth of all things. I was born into the church, but I can say that I know for myself. I have witnessed the power, the guidance, and the tremendous love that our Father in Heaven has for each one of us. I know that this is the true restored gospel of Jesus Christ, and that he lives. I know that he is our Savior and Redeemer, and that only by and through him can we return to live with our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I am preparing myself to serve in the Hungary Budapest mission and eagerly anticipate the opportunity to share the truths of the restored gospel with the people there. I taught a missionary preparation class on Sundays to help other young adults who are preparing to serve missions.
