Hi I'm Hayden Mielke

I grew up in Wisconsin and Montana. I'm a missionary in Los Angeles. I am learning Spanish. I love the outdoors and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Hayden. I am 19 years old. I am from Wisconsin but have also lived in Montana. Needless to say I love the outdoors. Some of my favorite hobbies are snowboarding, skiing, kayaking, and camping. I come from a family of 7. Five kids and wonderful parents that seemed to manage us all! We are all best friends. I really love spending time with my siblings and going on outdoor adventures. My oldest brother was the first to leave for his mission. He served in Mexico. I am serving in Los Angeles and am speaking Spanish. This city is super diverse and I love getting to know the wonderful people who call L.A. home! After the mission I plan to study at BYU-I and major in Business and minor in Spanish. I have thought about a healthcare career but I am wanting to do something that will allow me to travel a lot. I've also considered real estate development. I am loving this time in my life and am so grateful for the many blessings I've received up till now.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it's the way I've been able to find happiness in this crazy life we live in. I have lived its teachings and I know it what God wants for me. I have prayed and through the Holy Ghost have received answers to my questions. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored by the young prophet Joseph Smith. Through him the truths of Christs original church were reestablished on the earth. The church has brought me a lot of joy and that's why I desire to continue to learn and grow in the gospel. The way we all can know of the truthfulness of the church is through reading and praying about the Book of Mormon. Once we have received that answer we will have the desire to progress and help others come closer to God and better their lives as well.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being an example to others. Our examples are a direct reflection of how we honor and follow God. The examples of my friends and family have really help me initiate the molding of my own testimony in my earlier years. As we live the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we show others how serious our relationship is with our Father in Heaven. We can stand up for living righteous lives and others will trust and follow us. I know that this simple act is vital for our happiness. We will receive spiritual support and give it to others as we do what Jesus taught and live his commandments.
