Hi I'm Liz Wallace

I am a convert to the Church. I am currently a student and a Resident Director for an all freshmen female residence hall.

About Me

I am originally from Pennsylvania. I came to Delaware for college. My best friend helped me discover the church and now I am Mormon. When I am not in class, I work, play volleyball, read, complete puzzles. I love to hunt, camp, just hang out with friends and my family. And if you talk to any of my friends, they will tell you I love to laugh and I laugh a lot. I really love to learn about other cultures. I lived in France for about 6 months where I took courses and traveled all throughout Europe. I really hope to return to Europe and see more that I did not get to see during my trip. I am currently a student completing my Masters in Business Administration. Along with school, I am a Resident Director.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because the choices I make through being Mormon helps me to be so much more happier. I was making decisions in my life that appeared on the surface to make me happy, but in reality I was not as happy as I could be or thought I was. I was just skating by not appreciating what I had or what I could have. Now, I have more purpose. I have reason to continue to live and make myself a better person. And I have so much more confidence than I did before I was baptized. I also appreciate everything so much more. What lead to my conversion was a friend I met in college who was Mormon. She began to introduce me to the church and I started learning from the missionaries. When I began learning about the gospel I kept telling the missionaries, I am just learning about the church, I do not want to be baptized. And they listened, they taught me and I continued to go to Church. After a few months, things started to change. I no longer desired the decisions I was making. I started changing for the better by no longer doing things that made me unhappy. In June of 2013, I started to change my thinking and I was considering baptism. I had a conversation with my friend and he told me that my family would be blessed by my decision to be baptized. I did not believe him. But, the next day my Grandma called me and told me about a blessing she had. That call from my Grandma changed my whole life. A few days later I was baptized. I have not regretted my decision.

How I live my faith

Since I am a recent convert, I am still learning how to incorporate my faith into my life. But, I read my scriptures as often as I can. I pray constantly for everyone and anyone at all times. I play volleyball with my friends, who are also Mormon, and go to dinner and any other activities we want to do. I also help teach with the sister missionaries. I have gone a few times to help others learn about the gospel. I always think of the gospel as I go throughout my day, because I know that it helps me be really happy.
