Hi I'm Nik Mafi

I grew up in Utah. I'm half Tongan, half Caucasian. Called to serve in the Kingdom of Tonga. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 4 kids. Born and raised in good ol' Utah. I've grown up heavily involved in sports, and have traveled all around the country playing baseball. I was All-State in baseball for both my sophomore and senior years. I recently received my mission called and have been called to serve in the Tonga, Nuku'alofa Mission reporting to the Provo MTC on July 2nd.

Why I am a Mormon

I have yet to find anything in my life that brings more peace, comfort, and happiness in my life than this gospel. I'm not sure that I would be able to make it in this life without the knowledge that there is something better for me. I know that my Father in Heaven has a plan for me and that is something that has always been a comforting thought. I know without a doubt in my mind that my Heavenly Father loves me. I have prayed countless times, wondering for myself whether or not the teachings were true, and I know for a surety that this gospel is true and that it is the only church with the fullness of his teachings and authority.

How I live my faith

More than anything, I believe that the perfect way to live your faith is by following the example of the leaders of your own religion. I strive day by day to follow in the footsteps of the ultimate leader, Jesus Christ. I try, day by day, to do my best and give my best in everything that I do. I love to find ways to serve others, because I know that when I am in the service of my fellow men, I am really only in the service of my God. I feel a certain happiness when I am able to serve those around me. I cannot wait for the opportunity before me to serve the people of Tonga. I think there are few ways better to truly live by my faith.
