Hi I'm Tyler

I was born in Nevada, but raised in Idaho. I leave on a mission to Paraguay on June 19th. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into the church to two loving and supportive parents. I'm the oldest and have two brothers and a sister. I grew up hunting and fishing with my dad, but slowly I went away from that as I took on a love of athletics. I played soccer, baseball, football, tennis, basketball, and did swimming as I grew up. I played football and baseball throughout high school. I am very driven in school, and I've maintained a 4.0 GPA since I started. I will be serving as a missionary in Paraguay starting in the middle of June.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know, without a doubt, that this is the true church of God. I was born into the church, but that doesn't mean that I instantly knew that it was true. I had to go through a lot of hard times and make a lot of mistakes so that I could become humble and rely on God. When I was young, I attended church and felt good while I was there, but I didn't really understand for myself that the church is true. I found out through reading the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ. As I read through it, I felt a powerful feeling when I would pray and ask if it was true. This helped build up my testimony, or my personal feelings on why I believe in God, Jesus Christ, and in this church. I continue to stay in the church because I was blessed to become a part of a family that already knew the truth. I won't ever leave the church because of the person that it has helped me become. I feel loved all the time and I know that I have a loving God watching over me and helping me every day in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by representing Christ in school and in sports. I attend church regularly and I get to help with duties in the church. I've been lucky enough to get called on a mission to Paraguay. I will be serving for two years, and I know that these two years will be the best of my life. I owe it to God and Jesus Christ to go out and serve them because I have been given so many talents and I am forever in debt to what Christ has done for me and all of us. I will strive to bring happiness to others people's lives, whether that's through service or the gospel. In everything I do, I must overcome the bad things in this world to be a good representative of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
