Hi I'm Jim Waters

" I like to Hunt and fish. I am from Pennsylvania. I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I was born and raised in central Pa. I received an associates degree in electronics. I like to hunt, fish, hike, and camp.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Mormon faith in the early 1960's prior to my birth. I was raised LDS in central Pennsylvania. It was not always easy since most of my friends didn't share my same faith but I remained faithful because the Lord never abandoned me. Through reading the Book of Mormon and Praying earnestly to our Heavenly Father I was able to find out for my self that the teachings of Mormon faith are in fact true and why my parents were willing to accept the gospel in there lives. I know if you are willing to let the Lord guide you, you can find out what a special blessing the gospel can be in your life.

How I live my faith

I am young men's President. I teach the young men in our branch on Sundays and I help them organize activites that they like to do. I am a Home Teacher where my home teaching partner and I go and visit families we are assigned at least once a month or more if needed so we can see after their needs and give them a short spiritual message.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Jim Waters
Our bodies are indeed precious gifts from God and I believe by following his commandments it will help keep me healthier but the main reason I follow it is because it is a commandment from God and I try to keep all of his commandments, for that is our way to show our love to God. Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

Jim Waters
It helps be prepared for emergencies. It also helps not be reliant on others and it helps us be able to help others in need. Show more Show less
