Hi I'm Brian

I grew up in Missouri, I am a college student studying Information Systems, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 7th of 8 children. I grew up in a small town in north-central Missouri. I am a super adventurous person who is always up for the next challenge or activity. I think that the only way to describe my personality and interests is that I am a chameleon. Outdoor activities that I love include camping, hiking, playing soccer, snowboarding, longboarding, mountain biking, boating/swimming, etc. You get the picture. I am not obsessed about being outdoors all the time though. My favorite indoor activities include playing guitar, dancing, classic skating, ice skating, sleeping-now that’s a good one-. I am up for doing anything that will make me happy. :) My favorite hobby is making friends. I am energized by people, and love to be with them and talk with them about anything and everything. You could say that I'm a people person. I am currently going to college in Utah, in which I hope to graduate with a degree in Information Systems.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, because I know that the truths taught in the church are just that... they are truths. I know that through our Savior Jesus Christ all can be saved. This can happen by following him and doing what he has asked us to do. The first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism by immersion for the remission of sins, and fourth the reception of the gift of the Holy Ghost. I have gained a testimony through the soft promptings of the Holy Ghost that these things are true, and that if we live them, we will experience true happiness and joy in our lives. I know that God has prepared a way that we may return to live in his presence again, and that this is only through the Atoning sacrifice of our Savior Jesus Christ. I also know that God has revealed many things to mankind. Many of these revelations are written in scriptures. I know that the Bible, along with the Book of Mormon are the word of God. I know because I have read and prayed asking if they are true, and have felt the assurance that they are. I know that God has called prophets in this day to lead and guide us. I know that the prophet Joseph Smith was called to restore the Church of Jesus Christ on the earth again in the 1820's. I know that the current Prophet, and president of the church is Thomas S. Monson. I know that he is a man of God. So that is why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

I am part of young single adult congregation, while going to college here at Brigham Young University. It is a great opportunity to share with those of my age group my feelings about Jesus Christ, and the joys that come from living His gospel. From November 2011-2013 I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Córdoba, Argentina. I loved to teach the people there of the happiness that comes through following our Savior. I strive to be a good example to others around me even though there are a lot of things that I need to better in myself.
