Hi I'm Clifford

I am a husband, father, grandfather. I am a dentist. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father and husband and grandfather. I love to camp and hike and Dutch Oven cook. I love to water-ski and spend time with my family. I enjoy wood-working and have built two kitchens as well as a number of items of furniture. I love college sports. I enjoy reading, especially history. I enjoy yard work and gardening. We have completely landscaped the yards of two different homes. I enjoy building things and have helped to build a summer home for my father as well as storage sheds. I completely finished a basement of our last home.

Why I am a Mormon

Over many years of interacting with people of various religions and studying the scriptures and doctrines as taught by living Prophets and Apostles, I have come to know for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I have stood in that grove of trees where the Father and the Son appeared to Joseph Smith. I have felt the Spirit confirm to my soul that it really did happen. But more importantly, I have studied the teachings that he left us and have found them to be in strict accordance with the teachings of Jesus as recorded in the Bible. My first really significant experience came when I was just 15 years old. I was struggling with who I was and what I believed, as is typical with teenagers. My mother challenged me to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. I began to do so in July, reading and praying every day. But it was not until October that my answer came. I was in a meeting when the Spirit descended upon me in a powerful way. It felt as if someone was pouring hot water over the top of my head. It began at the crown of my head and spread until it covered my whole body. I then knew that the Book of Mormon was true, that Joseph Smith really was a prophet, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was indeed His Church on the earth. Since that day my testimony has grown to the point that I would go anywhere and do anything that the Lord would ask me to do to help to build up the Church and to bring people to Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently working with the youth in the Scouting program. I also visit the homes of 4 families and watch over their needs and provide support and help wherever possible. I spend time with my children to help them to become productive and honest citizens as well as to live their religion.
