Hi I'm Sara Ipson

I'm a violinist. I love to dance and smile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I grew up listening to classical music. When I was eight years old, I began taking violin lessons. A couple of years later, I began piano lessons. I may not have liked practicing, but I stuck with it (with some help and encouragement from my parents), and now I'm glad I did. I went to a year of college as a music major, and loved it! Music has helped me in many ways, including overcoming my shyness. I also love to dance, ballroom style. I took a beginning ballroom dance class my first semester at college and absolutely loved it. I also love running and tennis, though I'm not very good at either of them. Currently, I'm a missionary, and though it's hard to leave the life I know and love, I'm glad I came. I love being a missionary and sharing the gospel with others to bless their lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon my entire life. I always knew the church was true. At least I did all the way up until I'd finished a year of college. I decided to serve a mission before I left for college, and submitted my mission papers at the beginning of my second semester. I was excited when I received my call, and felt peace when I opened it. I felt that peace and assurance that this gospel is true and that serving a mission was right for me up until a week and a half before I left for the MTC. Then one night, it was gone all of a sudden. I don't know where it went, but I did know I wanted it back. I felt lost and unsure without it. I realized then that I'd built my testimony on the testimonies of my parents and teachers. It scared me to be so unsure of everything; so lost and insecure. I knew the only person who could help me was my Heavenly Father, so I prayed to Him to know the truth. He answered my prayer by the power of the Holy Ghost. It took time and patience, but when the time was right, I felt peace, clarity, and joy return. I now know for myself that this gospel is true, and I want to share the amazing feeling I felt with the rest of the world. I'm currently on my mission and doing just that.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many different ways. I try to be a good example to those around me. I play piano or organ for church. I stand up for what I believe. Sometimes, I play a musical number in church. I like to volunteer help other people. Currently, I'm serving a mission. I love sharing the gospel with others and helping them to know that God loves them more than they can comprehend, and that they can live with Him again someday.
