Hi I'm Amanda

Born and raised in Northern Utah. Lifeguard/swim teacher, college student, and former missionary in the New Mexico ABQ mission.

About Me

I swam all four years of high school. My favorite events are the 100 yd Breaststroke and the 500 yd Freestyle. I love using my hands for crafts like making bead and wire jewelry, sewing, and cross-stitching. I enjoy watching movies with friends and family. I am studying Elementary and Deaf Education at USU. I love photography and editing on Photoshop. I love four-wheeling and camping. I absolutely love my family and friends. I love serving others and I'm a mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Christ died for us and I know that through him, we can return to our Heavenly Father again as kings and queens. It may be crazy to think that God spoke to a fourteen year old boy and started his true church though that boy, but God sees all men as equals. I personally think that sometimes the least educated person can be the smartest person in a room filled with scholars because the educated people may over think the simplest of questions or problems. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to be a prophet for Christ's church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that Thomas S. Monson has been called of God to be the prophet for these Latter-Days. I know that through the temples, we can all be sealed to our families for time and eternity. I know that there is life after this mortal life.

How I live my faith

During high school, I was in youth Presidencies constantly, ranging from the President to the 2nd Councilor. I also participated in camp committees and productions put on by the church.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

It is through our marriage that we can be sealed to our spouse and children for time and eternity. Family is part of the base for the church because it is through families that children learn and are loved. It is also through the family that we can become like Him to rise up as an eternal king or queen for all eternity. Show more Show less
