Hi I'm Jesse Beus

I love life, music and the gospel. And I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints:)

About Me

I grew up in and I've lived almost the entirety of my life in South East Washington state just outside the city of Pasco. I was raised in a good home in the country, next to lots of agricultural land. I love to ride ATVs and I know lots country songs from the late nineties. I love good music, in any genre it may be in, and I love to play the guitar and learn new songs to play/sing and I love being able to express myself through the arts. I am currently serving a mission in the New Mexico, Farmington mission in the Four Corners area. I've gotten to see and work with people firsthand in the Navajo Indian Reservations and I have grown a love for the "children of Lehi" and various parts of their culture and the Southwest region.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this church and baptized when I was 8 years old. For many years I have lived in and experienced the goodness of the influence of this gospel. And for many years I leaned on the experiences and testimonies of others not fully knowing or perhaps not truly understanding if I knew of its truthfulness for myself. I think that everyone eventually comes to a point in their life where they have to ask some deep questions about what is the truth- Not necessarily just what they believe or what they want to be true; but what is absolutely and non-objectively the truth. And those deep, yearning questions of the soul can only truly and indefinitely be answered by the God and the influences of that being that created that soul. And I was no exception. I don't think that I ever consciously asked whether this church was His or not, but rather, sought to find a more sure witness of the truths that I believed and so wanted to be true. And after much prayer and studying I received an answer that I could not deny, through the quiet and simple, but most powerful, clear and peaceful impressions that have entered my heart which surely came from an all-powerful being that loved me and wanted me to know the truth as I expressed my faith in Him. I have since experienced those same feelings many times and want to do my best to help as many as I can to feel them as well and have the happiness that has come to me and my family. I know that this is the Lord's church and that He does hear and answer our prayers, and that He knows very well the thoughts, concerns and desires of our hearts. I know that anyone who has a sincere desire to know of His truth and expresses that in honest prayer and faith can and will know of it through the gentle but definite promptings of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the wonderful message of the fullness of its restoration as a missionary for the Church. As such, I get to find, teach, serve and ultimately invite others to come closer to their Savior, Jesus Christ, for two uninterrupted years as a representative of Him. Before I left on my mission, I lived my faith by living by the teachings of the leaders of the Church and doing my best to "live in the world" and not "be of the world" by avoiding vulgarity, the loose morals of today's society and partaking of any substances that would be addictive or harmful to my body.
