Hi I'm Walker James Memmott

I am from a small town called Nephi, Utah. I love doing hands on things especially when service for others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being outdoors is something I love dearly. I love listening and seeing how peaceful nature is. Just about everything I do outside puts a smile on my face. Some of my hobbies are snowmobiling, motorcycling, boating, golf, baseball, hunting, and waterskiing. Throughout my entire life I have grown up spending weekends at lakes or oceans. Throughout my life I have been known for making NASCAR tracks in the sand. Any beach I go to I bring a flat nose shovel and NASCAR toy cars. I have done this my entire life. As a young adult I still have a lot of kid in me and I do not plan to grow out of it anytime soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the modern day church. All the necessities are there to prove that this church is true. It is true. I know Joseph Smith restored the true church on earth today. He is the faithful young man who saw the vision. The vision of Christ and Heavenly Father who gave him the power and authority of the priesthood. The priesthood is that small nessicary thing that is crucial for baptism in the name of Christ. Faithful Joseph Smith was the body of flesh that restored the the gift of priesthood to the earth. During this time Joseph was given by angels the gold plates which are the records of the people who lived in the Americas when Christ was born and resurrected. Joseph was blessed with the power to translate the gold plates into the book we have today. The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I believe this book to be true. Through the knowledge I gain from the Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon my testimony is strengthened. As I read and have questions, one of the two books has my answer. They mesh together as one. If these two books were people, then they would be one body with two heads. I believe this church to be true and I love that I can feel everlasting happiness because of the obedience I have toward the doctrine of Christ. I believe Joseph Smith was a true prophet of god. I believe Thomas S. Monson is our true and living prophet today. I love my family and I love that through this gospel, I can be with them forever. I say these things, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

Living my faith in the LDS Church is a huge aspect of my life. I find that serving the Lord by helping my friends and family is a huge faith builder. I see what joy it brings to them and feel the love of Jesus Christ in my heart. Living my faith also proceeds to the commandments that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have given to us. They have given us these commandment through revelation, and the power of the Book of Mormon and Holy Bible. I am obedient to the commandments which strengthens my faith and gives me true and everlasting happiness. I am faithful because I love being happy. I am faithful because I have a younger sister waiting for me in heaven that I have never met and I am going to do everything I can to get to her. Being faithful is being hopeful. It is enduring to the end. That is what I do. That is why I am here on earth so I can partake the characteristic of faith that binds together all components of everlasting happiness which is key to return home. Home to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
