About Me

My name is Kazjana Brooks. I am Adopted and love the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

As a kid I have been raised believing that there is a God but we never stayed into one church. There had been a lot of challenges in my life. At the age 8 my brother and I was taken from our mom and was placed in Foster Care. It was good at first but over time I found myself depressed, doubting of who I am, why am I here, why do I have to go through such hardship? These answers went unanswered and months to a year later my grandmother wanted us all to be together. She opened up her home and took us in and took care of us giving us a loving environment to be in. She wanted to find a church to raise us in because she knows how important it is to raise 5 children in a religious environment. After months have went by we could not find a church and one a missionaries came knocking on the door. My grandma allowed them in and they started to teach her and over time I decided to join in into the discussions. Even though I don't remember all what the missionaries taught me but I do remember how I felt. It was a feeling of peace, love, understanding, and joy. It was intriguing because for a very long time I was seeking for a place of belonging and I thought that I should continue on learning. Then one Sunday morning I was in a deep sleep while my grandma was getting ready to go some where. Something told me to wake up and I did. I asked my grandmother where she was going? She told me that she was going to go to church. I asked her can I come and she said,"Yes of course." I got up and went to church. Right when I went through the doors a overwhelming warmth came upon me. I knew that I was meant to be there. After that I accepted to be baptized. I know if God wants his children to learn of His gospel. He will provide a way for them to know that they are in the right place. My name is Kazjana Brooks and I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the way I present myself to the world. By dressing modestly and always try my best reaching my hand out to those in need. Nothing compares to seeing somebody day be lifted by a hug, a smile, or even just asking them how was there day. I truly love meeting new people just to be there when ever they need a friend.
