Hi I'm Taylor Nguyen

I'm a wife, young mother, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Being a mother is not only my job, but my greatest calling in life. My children and husband mean everything to me. To the world, the way I live my life is not the way most 22 year olds live but I've always been different. I love being outside and enjoying all of the beautiful creations of God. Bike riding, hiking, and camping are some of my family's favorite past times. I have been white water rafting for the past 7 years and snowboarding for 4. I grew up in Colorado but now reside in Utah where we plan to stay. The spirit felt in Utah is incredible.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because this Gospel saved my life. I was 19 when I converted from Catholicism and was a single, teenage mom. My son deserved a loving, faithful mother who lived a healthy, righteous lifestyle. When I met my now husband, he took me to church one Sunday and I instantly felt the spirit and wanted to know more. I met with missionaries and was baptized in two weeks. Since then, my life has not been the same. I am a better person, I am a happier person, I am a better mother and I now know that I am, and always have been, a beautiful daughter of God. Even though I made mistakes and disappointed myself and those around me, He has always loved me and kept me close to Him. He has a plan for me and I know that He is around us 24/7. It is not always easy, don't get me wrong. Faith takes a lot of patience and long suffering sometimes. Just because I was baptized doesn't mean there is no work left. There is always going to be work and effort needs to be made to keep my testimony growing and my faith strong I know this Gospel is the true gospel and that Joseph Smith restored it. My testimony is so sacred to me and it continues to grow and is strengthened when I pray and read my scriptures with my husband. I love that the family unit is so special in this church. Having divorced parents, I know what it's like to have a broken family. I know that through the strength our Lord gives us, my husband and I can make it through any trial and that our children will always have two parents. Families are eternal and this gospel emphasizes that immensely. I love this church. I love the person this gospel has transformed me into. I love Jesus and acknowledge that any and everything is possible through Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by setting an example of Christ to my children. I practice faith by saying prayers and showing my gratitude to Heavenly Father on a daily basis. Without Him, I would not have this beautiful life. I go visiting teaching every month and try my best to look out for my fellow sisters in church and help their families as much as I can.
