Hi I'm Lexi

I'm from small town Burley, Idaho. I'm a sister, daughter, athlete, self-proclaimed chef, student, and a missionary. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love having fun! In the summer I spend most of my time on the river where I live wakeboarding, paddleboarding and wake surfing! In the winter I spend time on the slopes or watching a good movie with hot chocolate and fuzzy socks. I also enjoy cooking, clogging, country music, tennis and volleyball! I have completed one year of college studying Exercise Science and plan on becoming an Occupational Therapist. I have happily put these plans on hold to venture out to serve my Heavenly Father as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I can't wait! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because throughout my life God has allowed me to have incredible examples and teachers that helped to plant and cultivate a seed within my heart. My mom is a convert to the church and then raised her entire family in the church. I've never questioned what I've been taught throughout my life but I also never knew it for myself. I mean really knew it. Like enough that I could confidently stand up for it when faced with opposition. That is until I quietly asked my Father in Heaven. "Forsake the world." I have prayed and studied and come to know that this is the fullness of the Gospel. So much so that as a 19 year old sophomore in college I am willing to set aside my everyday life and serve my Father for 18 months. I know that Christ lives. Heavenly Father loves each one of His children more than I can comprehend. Joseph Smith was a true prophet that saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. Still today we have been blessed with a loving prophet of God that is on the Earth today. President Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today and receives revelation to guide and direct this church. I've never been happier! I gain confidence and enlightenment every day as I learn my great worth and purpose in this life.

How I live my faith

I am far from perfect. I find such happiness in recognizing my weaknesses and trying every day to become stronger. My Heavenly Father has given me my weakness so that I may learn and become stronger and more like my Savior. Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin said, "The Church is not a place where perfect people gather to say perfect things, or have perfect thoughts, or have perfect feelings. The Church is a place where imperfect people gather to provide encouragement, support and service to each other as we press on in our journey to return to our Heavenly Father."
