Hi I'm Karlee Kunz

I grew up in orem, I love golf, tennis, and guitar and most importantly I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have so many things that I want to do and become! I'm constantly looking for new things to learn and improve on. I took up golf and I fell in love with it, I also love tennis and running. I'm training for a half marathon right now and I find that I can do new, unforgiving physical challenges every day. Music also brings so much joy into my life, and I don't know what I would do without it. I'm a sophomore at BYU-Idaho and have learned so much from being a part of such a wonderful institution.

Why I am a Mormon

It's hard to put into words how grateful I am for this gospel. It's through this single and true church that I have found ecstatic joy and love. I know without a doubt that our savior wants us to be happy, he wants the very best for us. He gave us this gospel to help us figure out our way through life, with his guiding example the whole way. I know that he has a plan for each one of us, and he puts us through hard things for our own good. It is through trials that we become more Godlike, which is the only way to return to him. Even though it seems sometimes that he has forgoten or abandoned us, he has never left our side. He loves us way too much to ever do that. I know that Jesus Christ atoned and died for every soul, because he loves us so much. He knows how to perfectly succor us and will always ease our burdens if we are humble enough. It is only through his grace that we can be saved and exalted. I also have an unshakable testimony of the temple. It is through sacred ordinances that we find joy and fulfillment. I know that if we go regularly and happily that he will bless us. He will give us peace and comfort, and will guide us when he knows we are making an effort to serve him in his holy house. I know the scriptures are the words of God. I know that when we read and ponder them with all our hearts, then it will become more delicious to us and we will always want to learn more and more. Our desire to do good will grow, and we will find happiness that we never knew before. When we make a serious effort to learn everything we can in this life, we are incredibly blessed and our hearts become pure like gold. I have a very strong testimony of service. The pure love of christ makes us truly happy, it is when we are showing our brothers and sisters love that we learn to love ourselves and God. I know that when we put God first, everything always falls into place. I know that this gospel brings pure happiness. I love it and know its true with all my heart.

How I live my faith

Although my callings have been taxing at times, I've always felt fulfilled and humbled by them. They help me grow and learn things I never would have. I have had many callings in my seminary classes, along with callings in my young women's group. In college I was ward indexing director, which involves doing work for those who have moved on from this life. Right now I teach children from ages four to five as a sunbeam teacher. I have loved all of my callings, and wouldn't trade the experiences I've gained from them for anything.
